Specifications for C8080 Wide Zoom

I was very impressed by the description of the Olympus C-8080 8 megapixel digital camera that I just read in the new issue of the Freestyle Photographic Supply catalog. Can anyone give me another reference where I can find detailed specifications?

Also, why does this forum refer to it as a “C-8080 Wide Zoom?†According to what I read, the lens on this camera has a zoom range that is equivalent to a 28mm to 140mm zoom lens on a 35mm camera. Since this range covers wide, normal, and telephoto, why refer to it only as a "Wide Zoom?â€

Hi John,

we labeled it "wide zoom" because it is seldom for a digital "all in one model" to have the 28mm capability. Apart from the C-5060, only the newest models of 2004 have a 28mm range.
