Canon 10D importing images to Mac

Just started shooting with a new 10D. Images are great. Does anyone have any recommendations on software for working with photos in a way similar to iPhoto but with more control. I am shooting raw and saving as 16bit TIFFs.
Each file is renamed and saved to a folder on my desktop.
Is there an easier way? Thanks in advance. Les
 
Les, I don't use Mac, but am using Capture One software on 10D images. I am not familiar with iPhoto, but C1 is considered one of the fastest raw processing software available for Canon dslr's, and they do have a version for Mac users. They also have a trial version that you can test out for 30 days. Give it a shot, it is the best!
