My canon which is 8 years old and is a point and shoot has really failed on a holiday half of the pictures and blurred and others are ok. This is after the recall to change the CCD. I have decided the time has come to make a step into the DSLR world.

While looking around today in Canada, i found out that at a certain web site i can get these 2 olympus cameras for the same price.

1) Olympus Evolt E-0520 with14-42mm F3.5-5.6 S Zuiko lens & the ED 40-150mm F4.0-5.6 Zuiko lens.

2) Olympus E300 with w/14-45mm Lens & 40-150mm Lens

both sell for Cad $ 599.95

the main difference is that the latter is 8 megapixel while the previous is 10. So being a newbie to the whole DSLR world which one would you recommend.
