Nikon slide scanners almost gone

For those of you that shoot film and would like to scan their images, here is a warning. Nikon has apparently stopped production of its slide scanners and is selling from existing stock. Some supply of the Coolscan scanners are already getting dried up. This is particularly the case with the Super Coolscan LS-9000 ED, ideal for MF scanning. My advice would be not to wait any longer to buy one, including its accessories, if interested.
Generally speaking the choice of (good) slide scanners becomes more limited by the year. The Nikons are arguably still the best in their price league, barring the Hasselblad/Imacon FlexTight pro models, which are out of league for most users.
