Hi,
My new 'Blue Peter' Camera bag can now be used as a seat, it supports my 200 lb (Plus) with consummate ease.
Herewith an image of the Bag's frame prior to covering, this photo gives some idea of the construction method. Aluminium Tubing provides the 'legs' for the seat.
Two plastic food containers are utilised in the construction, the lid from the food container used for the Bag's bottom can be seen in the photo. These food containers are extremely strong, the sidewall thickness is about 5/32 inch thick.
I have used 1/2 inch thick plastic reinforcement to both the Lid that forms the seat and the base as they have to withstand my considerable weight!
To give an idea of the bag's capacity I have placed one of my SD14 cameras in the bottom of the bag along with my Giottos Tripod. The bag easily holds two dslr cameras complete with lenses leaving plenty of room for the rest of the photography paraphernalia, along with a flask of Hot Coffee!
Note the insulated cool bag, I use these bags to protect the cameras.
