Molière's Chair

Well-Known Member
This is the chair Molière used to perform Le Malade imaginaire. On the day of his death, he struggled to finish the performance. He was taken home, where he died. This armchair can now be seen in the peristyle of the Salle Richelieu at the Comédie-Française. Charlie Chaplin was the last person to have the honor of sitting in it.

More an armchair than a chair, actually. Sorry I can no longer edit my title of the previous post.
