The bottleneck is not Hollywood film industry but the theatres.
Powerfull digital projection is still far off, both in terms of engineering and in financial sense.

Do not be surprised to find projectors in movie theatres that are many decades old.
Money is too tight to refit all those projection rooms with new equipment.
Sound systems still using early postwar speakers are not exceptional.

That may give ordinary users of film cameras some comfort for the time being.
After all vinyl is still used and sold for records. Quite a few new albums appear on vinyl only.
