Hi,
I was invited to write to meet others on theHasselblad forum. I am very new at this so be patient. I joined because I recently purchased a used, but excellent conditioned 501C with an 80 mm C lens. The results have been spectacular. I recently went to Rome and took a night photo of the statue of Neptune at the Piazza Narvonna. As far as I was concerned it made my canon 40D digital look sad. I was estatic. I sent the film out to SF for processing and digitizing and made a 20 x 20. I have it hanging in the house as a beautiful remembrance of the trip.
The only problem I had was with the focusing with the waist level. I am badly near sighted and and will need a dioptric correction. My problem is how to select the right one. Anyone have a suggestion.
It is true having a Hassy is like having a Rolls. Every time I use it someone has to come over and check it out.
It stands out and is beautiful. I would love to go digital with it but that is way out of range. But film is beautiful so be patient. I also have a 150 c. So far both lenses are fantastic, no glare problems just wonderful sharpness and style. It may be a C but it is a ziess. The quality is wonderful. I would love to upload a copy of Neptune but I do not know how to do that.
Greetings
Tom
