Contax InfraRed Controller S

Has anyone ever tried using the Contax InfraRed Controller S with a Contax G system? It was originally designed for the RTS. Basically I am hypothesizing that it will work if the RTS can use the same release chord/cable as the G system.

Anyone have a definitive answer to this? It would be great to get wireless controll of shutter release although the controller/receiver is a bit big.
 
I don't know about that specific piece, but if it works on the *current* SLRs (RTS III, Aria etc.) it will also work on the Gs. They all use the same switch release.

The RTS I had a different connector (not threaded) so a conroller for it will not work with a G.
