Hello!

Having bought my first manual Olympus lens, need to know if the f-stop ring has click stops. The 50mm 1.8 f-stop ring does not have any.

Thanks!
Manuel

Manual:

All of my Olympus OM system lenses have detent stops. You will feel them more than hear them. However, the OM system allows you to shoot anywhere in between apertures.

>If your 50 mm 1.8 f-stop ring doesn't have detents (clicks) it is not >working right. It is possible to open the front of the lens and clean out >the hardened grease and replace it with new grease so the little ball >bearing works correctly. Be very careful and work over a cookie pan so >you don't lose the spring or bearing.

There is more to this and the complete directions should be available on the web.
