When activating the VR function of my lens by pressing the shutter-release button halfway down, i always see moving down the image in the viewfinder for some percent. Then i take the photo. When releasing the button, the image in the viewfinder is abruptly going up to its previous position. I guess this is the normal behavior of the VR mechanism. The photos are perfect. But as the lens is quite new, i would like to know, whether someone else noticed the same thing. The effect seems to be stronger on a D100 than a F80, but i guess this comes from the higher magnification in the D100's viewfinder.
